This summer, NRK found biological material from the Isdalskvinnen in a warehouse in Bergen. Now Kripos and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health have analyzed these tissue samples and made an attempt to extract a DNA profile, which may help identify the woman. Did they succeed? Two of Norway's leading forensic experts, Per Angel from Kripos and Nils Jarle Gjøvåg from the Vest police district, are looking for the place where the Isdal woman was found in 1970, using old photographs. There they discuss what may have happened and how she died.

The enamel on the Isdal woman's teeth may be a key to finding out even more precisely where she grew up. Isotopes from the food she ate and the water she drank when she was little are stored there. Now the University of Bergen and the police have managed to measure these isotopes with a completely new method. What answers can they give?
