Spannende Verpuppung
PB besucht mit ihrer Familie die Bühnenshow „Raupenwelt“. Sie will dort erfahren, was genau in einem Kokon bei der Verpuppung passiert. Floyd will lieber zum Kiosk, doch er muss bleiben. Ein neuer Comicband erscheint. Er beauftragt Abakus, das Heft zu holen und damit draußen vor der „Raupenwelt“ auf ihn zu warten. Doch Meister Wackel, der Held der Bühnenshow, hat Angst sich zu verpuppen. So braucht es einige Überzeugungsarbeit von Floyd.

Der Madenball
Die Nachricht verbreitet sich rasant: Beim Toaster wurde ein Klecks Erdnussbutter gesichtet! Alle Insekten machen sich auf den Weg, doch Floyd muss auf seine 224 Maden-Geschwister aufpassen. Da hat er eine geniale Idee: Er klebt die Maden mit ihrem klebrigen Speichel zu einem Madenball zusammen. Gemeinsam mit Abakus und PB rollt er den Ball zum Toaster, doch sie kommen nur langsam voran. Hoffentlich ist noch etwas Erdnussbutter für sie übrig.

Marvin aus dem Eis
Floyd und Abakus befreien eine Fliege aus einem Eiswürfel. Es stellt sich heraus, dass die Fliege Marvin sehr lange eingefroren war und sich in der „modernen Welt“ nicht mehr auskennt. Außerdem fühlt sich Marvin seinem Retter Floyd gegenüber zu Dank verpflichtet. Permanent versucht er, die Schuld zu begleichen. Floyd nervt das, und ihm wird klar, dass er selber in Lebensgefahr geraten muss, damit Marvin es ihm gleichwertig zurückgeben kann.

Party-Konkurrenz
Floyd erfährt, dass Cary eine Party plant, und behauptet dreist, ebenfalls eine Party in Planung zu haben. Er geht mit Cary eine Wette ein, wer am Ende mehr Gäste zu Besuch haben wird. Natürlich hatte Floyd nichts im Voraus geplant und muss nun die ganze Party improvisieren. Es gelingt ihm, mehrere Gäste, die eigentlich zu Cary wollten, zu seiner Party umzulenken. Doch da Essen und Musik fehlen, wechseln die enttäuschten Besucher wieder zu Cary.

Floyd steckt fest
Floyd entdeckt im Zwischenraum einer doppelten Fensterscheibe eine Rosine. Beim Versuch, die Leckerei zu ergattern, bleibt er mit seinem breiten Kopf klemmen und kommt nicht mehr raus. Abakus und PB sind hilflos. Doch Cary, der sich mit seinen Pokalen für Rettungsaktionen brüstet, bietet an, auch Floyd zu helfen. Das lehnt dieser zunächst noch ab. Doch als die heiße Mittagssonne aufs Fenster brennt, gibt er nach und erträgt lieber die Schmach.

Floyd gegen Freckles
Floyd hat eine Auseinandersetzung mit Dotty, dem Marienkäfer. Die droht ihm mit ihrem großen Bruder. Floyd fürchtet die Konfrontation nicht. Wie gefährlich kann ein Marienkäfer schon sein? Doch Freckles ist Dottys großer adoptierter Bruder und ein ausgewachsener Hirschkäfer. Gegen den hat Floyd keine Chance. Glücklicherweise ist Freckles von sanftmütiger Natur und nicht auf einen Kampf aus. So beschließen die beiden, die Prügelei nur vorzutäuschen.

Der Spinnen-Schlächter
Floyd stößt auf ein einsames Spinnenbein und erschrickt lautstark. Doch bei den Freunden, die nur seine Schreie gehört haben, tut er so, als hätte er das Bein der Spinne im Kampf entrissen. Die Nachricht verbreitet sich schnell, und alle halten Floyd für einen Helden: für den Spinnen-Schlächter. Floyd sonnt sich in der Aufmerksamkeit. Doch dann soll er die böse Spinne Petrichor aus dem Sofa vertreiben. Da muss Floyd wohl beichten, dass er gelogen hat.

Ein ganz genialer Plan
Floyd findet ein Fruchtbonbon und beansprucht es sogleich für sich. Doch der findige Dextrose, Sohn von Wespenkönigin Demerara, trickst ihn aus und schleppt die süße Beute ins Wespennest. Gemeinsam mit PB und Abakus entwirft Floyd einen genialen Plan, um sein Bonbon zurückzubekommen. Anfangs läuft alles bestens, doch ausgerechnet bei ihrem Weg durch die Kinderstube des Wespennestes werden die drei Freunde entdeckt – von der Königin persönlich!
