Beschreibung

Während die Rückkehr von König Richard Löwenherz aus dem Heiligen Land in österreichischen Kerkern endet, erlebt der junge Kreuzritter Wilfred von Ivanhoe eine böse Überraschung, als er das heimische Gut erreicht. Er wurde als Verräter des Königs denunziert, sein Vater hat ihn verbannt und seine große Liebe Rowena ist einem anderen versprochen. Auch um das Königreich steht es nicht gut, denn Richards Bruder Prinz John regiert mit grausamer Hand. Als getreuer Ritter seines Herrn nimmt Ivanhoe mit List und Tapferkeit den ungleichen Kampf auf, um Richard die Rückkehr auf den Thron zu sichern und sein eigenes Glück zu retten.

Sir Brian de Bois-Guilbert has fallen in love with Rebecca. The Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Lucas de Beaumanoir, is consumed with anger and sends her to trial as a witch, her life is at stake if Ivanhoe does not hear of her plight.
