First shown in 1996, this is an account of Mission Angola, which sent a battalion of British troops to war-torn Angola as the advance guard of a huge UN peacekeeping force. This is an intriguing portrait of the trials and tribulations of managing military logistics over huge distances and in an area of difficult and sometimes confused combat.

Phantom Platoon

First shown in 1996, this documentary follows the 'phantom' Pathfinder Platoon's training operations to ready them for action whilst they await secured funding. Then an elite force of 5 Airborne Brigade (now part of 16 Air Assault Brigade), these advanced reconnaissance teams are made up from all three branches of the Armed Forces and specialise in rapid deployment aerial and naval assault.
