We'll explore northern side of Mt. Fuji, Five Lakes of Mt. Fuji area in Yamanashi Prefecture. You'll experience nature such as eruption created lakes and Aokigahara Jukai. Also, we'll visit historical inns that deify Mt. Fuji as god and host religious climbers. We'll stay at a hotel near Lake Kawaguchi with vast garden where Mt. Fuji spring flows. Magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from a rooftop hot spring can be enjoyed. In the digest, we'll introduce an inn that faces Five Lakes. You'll enjoy activities like Jukai tour and canoeing.

Koyasan, Wakayama

We'll visit Koyasan in Wakayama Prefecture. With over 100 temples on the summit, it is known as the holy land of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism. Koyasan temples have "Shukubo," a lodging where followers and travelers can stay overnight and experience monk training. We'll stay at a temple with an 800-year-history and learn unique meditation, incense making and eat Shojin Buddhist food. In the digest, we'll introduce more casual lodgings and unique hotels converted from a railway station building.
