Junnan (67) is the father of eight and head of the Eira family. In the spring, the reindeer are on their way from Kautokeino to the summer pasture on the coast, and along the way this year's calves will be born. But many dangers threaten the reindeer accident.

Predators threaten the reindeer happiness of the Eira family. Every night a wolf kills a reindeer in the herd, and Ole Mathis wants to shoot it. Then it's time for slaughter. Several thousand reindeer will be sent to the eternal expanses. The cohabiting couple Liv and Mikkel have moved separately.

The young people go reindeer sledding in Tromsø. Mild weather leads to crowds on the plains and the reindeer do not get enough food. Mikkel wins the Farm and during the Easter Festival there is no doubt who is the village's new celebrity.
