In May, NHK WORLD-JAPAN showcases Japanese technology, through regular programs like Japan's Top Inventions and Japan Railway Journal, and a special newly translated to English: Project X.

Children's Programs in English

We introduce the English-language versions of two "edutainment" programs for kids: The Wakey Show, with DJ Wakey and a cast of puppets, and I Love 'Mee', an animation exploring everyday questions.

Promoting NHK WORLD-JAPAN at Educational Institutions

At the University of Tokyo's Study Abroad Fair, NHK WORLD-JAPAN showed students how its content can be used to learn practical English, and introduced an educational program in Japanese schools.

A New Page for BOSAI

In March, NHK WORLD-JAPAN launched a new online hub for BOSAIｰpreparing for disaster. It has pages, apps and guides, in multiple languages. We also see programs about June's theme: Mount Fuji.

Programs About Yamaguchi in July

In July, NHK WORLD-JAPAN focuses on Yamaguchi. "Hit the Road" presents its history, environment and food. "Design x Stories" shows creative potters. And "Dive in Shimonoseki" looks at a unique city.
