Ausgerüstet mit Detektoren, Spitzhacken und Schaufeln suchen sie in Australien nach verborgenen Kostbarkeiten. An den Stränden von Sydney, auf den Goldfeldern im Outback oder in verlassenen Siedlungen macht die Sondengänger:innen nicht jeder Fund reich oder berühmt. Denn nicht alles, was glänzt, ist Gold. Manchmal finden die Teams auf ihren Touren nur alte Hufeisen und wertloses Metall.
