Sitiados habla de un poblado que resume en su tragedia el enfrentamiento de dos sueños: el de unos colonizadores que quieren construir una Nueva España en este rincón de América, contra el deseo de los habitantes originarios, los mapuche, que desean vivir en paz en sus tierras ancestrales. Isabel Bastidas (Marimar Vega), una mujer española llega hasta la Villarrica, un bastión español en medio de territorio mapuche, poseedor de importantes lavaderos de oro. La acompañan su hijo Diego de 6 años, y su marido Rodrigo (Julio Milostich), capitán de ejército. Isabel viene a asentarse a estas tierras luego de meses de viaje. A través de sus ojos, conocemos a Rocío (Macarena Achaga), una criolla nacida en este poblado, cuyo amor oculto es Nehuén (Gastón Salgado), un joven Mapuche que dejar sus labores de originario de servicio para recuperar las tierras de sus ancestros.
