Haruma Kawagoe es hijo único. Hace mucho tiempo, en Navidad, su madre abortó a la que iba a ser su hermanita. Esa noche, el joven Haruma se arrodilló y ofreció una ferviente oración: "Por favor, recupera la salud de mi madre y, por favor, dame una hermanita". Han pasado los años y Haruma casi ha olvidado su oración. Pero Santa no... una Navidad, cuando Haruma menos lo esperaba, recibe un regalo inusual: su hermana.
