Four families challenge their meat-eating habits by caring for farm animals in their homes. At the end of three weeks, they must decide whether to save their house guests and send them to a sanctuary or reintroduce them to the food chain - and face the prospect of the animals becoming their dinner.

Dawn, John and the boys have fallen in love with pigs Reenie and Pauline, but a vegetarian barbecue goes disastrously wrong. Meanwhile, there are new arrivals for Pam, Lou, Jade and Jazmyn, who are responsible for rearing two lambs. Meat eating is an essential part of their lives, so it will be interesting to see whether a trip to a farm during lambing season will prompt Pam to challenge her long-held beliefs.
