När Hiphop Tog Över

The story of how hip-hop took over as the biggest music genre in Sweden in less than ten years. Today, rap and hip-hop dominate the charts - and the newspaper headlines. There are successes and awards, but also an ongoing dark chapter where success goes hand in hand with crime and death. SVT has interviewed around thirty of Sweden's leading hip-hop artists and producers and they tell in their own words the story of how hip-hop went from an abandoned and condemned music genre in the early 2000s to completely dominating the music scene today.
