Helen also meets farmers who made the short journey, swapping the Antrim coast for that of Ayr. And she comes across people who use the land just for fun.

Twelve Miles separates Scotland and Northern Ireland. Ferries are the lifeblood for those who come and go. Helen Mark meets many who make the journey regularly; footballers, bandsmen, truck drivers. She meets those who live and work on the boats, and some who simply use the sea as a bridge to a different pub.
