Description

In this two-part series Mawaan is curious to discover more about those who claim to connect with a higher power by taking traditional medicines, which contain powerful hallucinogenic drugs.

People from across America come here to use the Class A drug peyote to obtain religious enlightenment. On a spiritual retreat, Mawaan needs to decide whether the whole thing is just an excuse to get high in the mountains or whether the medicine man really can help him unlock a link to the spirit world.
