La véritable histoire du prince Vlad Dracula
Prince de Valachie, Etat médiéval de l’est de l’Europe, Vlad III s’était dressé, au XVe siècle, contre le puissant sultan, Mehmed II. Sa cruauté lui a valu d’être célèbre de son vivant et un terrible surnom : « L’Empaleur ». Ce tyran impitoyable a inspiré l’écrivain Bram Stoker pour son personnage du vampire Dracula. Dans son pays natal, il reste pourtant considéré comme un génie militaire ayant utilisé des tactiques surprenantes pour combattre ses ennemis.
