Description

Foundlings are people abandoned as babies, often in the first hours and days of their lives. Born without trace, with no identifying information, they have had no way of unlocking the secrets of their past. But in this new ground-breaking documentary series, presented by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell, the team behind Long Lost Family combine the latest DNA technology with painstaking detective work, to enable four foundlings to finally uncover their identities.

Episode 2

When a box containing a newborn baby was found on Halloween night in 1996, the two women who saw a hand peeking out first suspected it was a trick. Instead, it was Michael - tiny and premature. Now an adult, he wants to know who it was that left him there, and why? Similar questions have haunted 77-year-old Christine, who was discovered in a Waterloo train carriage. But she has more reason than many other foundlings to understand why a mother might give up a child.
