After an exhaustive search, Ryan and Alexey select three new novice cyclists, Johanna, David, and Rachel, to start training for the Leadville Trail 100 Mountain bike race. The first step is to get their new bikes and set up their training systems.

The From The Ground up crew heads to mountain bike destination Bentonville, Arkansas for a 2 Day skills camp. They'll learn the basics of braking, cornering, and body position before hitting the trails to apply those skills.

The riders of From The Ground up face their first real test with the Unbound Gravel race in Emporia, Kansas. Results from this grueling race will set the stage for training plans leading up to the Leadville 100 at the end of the summer.

Leadville Camp
Rachel, David, and Johanna head to Leadville Colorado for a three-day training camp while Enzo is left sidelined with an injury. This camp will expose the three novice cyclists to the thin air at elevation as they ride sections of the actual race course over the weekend. With only 6 weeks until race day this camp will be a wake-up call for all three riders.

After 6 months of intense training, race day has arrived. Novice cyclists Rachel, Johanna, and David head to an elevation of 10,000 feet high in the Colorado Rockies to take on the 104 Mile Leadville Trail 100 Mountain bike race.
