Quando i venti d’estate cominciano a calare, Amber e Reggie rivelano alle loro famiglie che sono stati ad un appuntamento. Jackie chiede una riunione di famiglia, in un seminterrato di recente rivelato, in cui entrambe le famiglie votano se la coppia può stare insieme. Le cose si avvicinano al limite fino a quando Abby interrompe tutti con un discorso accorato su come Reggie è l’unica persona che riesca a far sorridere Amber. Poi, proprio quando le famiglie sono in procinto di abbracciare il rapporto, un ospite inatteso arriva a competere per l’affetto di Reggie.
