La ricostruzione dei danni causati dallo tsunami avvenuto in Thailandia nel 2004. Si raccontano le storie di vari personaggi che hanno vissuto in prima persona il dramma. Una coppia inglese cerca Martha, la figlia portata via dallo tsunami. Kim Peabody e suo figlio Adam devono rintracciare i loro cari, James e John. Un cameriere tailandese perde la sua famiglia.

After a tsunami hits Thailand, the surviving villagers and tourists in Khao Lak move to higher ground and medical treatment while searching for missing family and friends. Meanwhile, bureaucrats struggle to provide assistance, government begins a cover up, and a journalist tries to make sense of it all.
