Il sergente Charlie Zailer e il detective Simon Waterhouse sono chiamati a indagare sulla morte di una donna e di sua figlia. Geraldine Bretherick e la figlia Lucy sono trovate morte nel bagno della loro lussuosa casa, ma questo caso divide Zailer e Waterhouse. E’ omicidio, suicidio o qualcosa di ancora piu’ sinistro? Quanto e’ solido l’alibi del marito Mark?

Ruth is interviewed by Charlie and Simon. They have a letter from Jason's house that should have arrived the day that he died with her fingerprints are on it. Ruth admits that she went to the house and she slept with Jason. She insists though that she didn't kill Jason.
