Il protagonista è un orso di nome Bear che vive in una casa blu della Valle Boscosa con altri amici: il topo Tutter, l'orsacchiotta Gia, il lemure Treelo e le lontre Pip e Pop. Oltre questi personaggi, ci sono anche Ray Sun, il sole, e Ombra. Ogni puntata si sviluppa attorno a un tema e al termine, di sera, l'orso Bear sale sul balcone per raccontare la giornata alla Luna parlante assieme alla quale canta la "Canzone dell'arrivederci".
