Una mañana de marzo de 2015, la policía danesa recibió una llamada de una enfermera del Hospital Nykøbing Falster. Ella sospecha que su colega cercano mató deliberadamente a los pacientes y teme que haya vuelto a suceder. Pronto se desarrolla un caso de asesinato como nunca antes se había visto en la historia legal danesa. Varios compañeros de trabajo ahora le dicen a la policía que también sospechan que la enfermera ha envenenado a los pacientes, y algunos incluso dicen que han estado caminando con esta sospecha durante varios años.
