XXII secolo. In seguito a una rivolta delle macchine la razza umana è stata quasi annientata e ridotta in schiavitù. Il pianeta è quindi comandato da potenti intelligenze artificiali, a cui gli unici a opporsi sono uno sparuto gruppo di dissidenti umani.
