Ayukawa Wakaba è una giovane con il sogno di diventare un'avvocatessa di fama internazionale. Trova lavoro nello studio di Sakurakawa Noriko/Shoko* e questa subito le affida un compito di importanza fondamentale: badare a sua figlia Hinata, 5 anni. Vicino casa di Wakaba vive Yamada Sota, chef in un negozio e divorziato con un bambino a carico. Portando entrambi i bambini alla scuola materna i due si troveranno loro malgrado a conoscersi meglio.
