Boks

Maarten Spanjer is Detective Boks, headstrong and petulant. He works in district 3, office Lijbaansgracht, a stone's throw from Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein. Boks is not your average detective. He suffers from chronic insomnia and therefore often sits alone at night at the desk to bite into serious crimes. Or he can be found in his friend Mohammed's launderette/snack bar. Boks lives in a canal house that he has inherited, but which he is not allowed to change. His favorite place in the house is the garage where his great love is: a fifty-year-old Mercedes, the only place where he can fall asleep undisturbed.
