Nadia works as a cashier in a supermarket in a small provincial town. She lives modestly with her son, Sanka. Suddenly she has a serious heart disease - she needs a heart transplant. Nadia, taking her son and cat, goes to the capital, where she is expected in a charity fund. She meets the employee of the foundation Olga and her friend Alena.
