Four-part series following the next generation of emergency workers. Whether firefighter, paramedic, mountain rescuer or coast guard, we follow these new cadets as they undergo intense and gruelling training to find out if they have what it takes to make the grade. The series features new cadets from Foyle Search and Rescue, Galway Fire Service, Mayo Mountain Rescue Team, Dublin Fire Service, National Ambulance Service Ireland, Lough Neagh Search and Rescue and the Irish Coast Guard.In the first episode, Martin is out on patrol with Foyle Search and Rescue, Niamh begins training with the Galway Fire Service, and Emer becomes a volunteer with Mayo Mountain Rescue Team. They all start out on their training and are learning every day.
