France

Jarvis Cocker visits France. He stops at Rotheneuf to look at the La Rochers sculpture, carved out of rocks on the North coast of France by Abbe Foure. He visits Louvierf where he meets Robert Vasseur who has spent 46 years decorating his home in broken crockery. Bodhan Litnianski lives in Viry and his home is invisible behind a totem pole of structures covered in bric-a-brac. At his motel Cocker looks at a video he brought from England of the house of Monsieur G. who died in 1986 leaving a remarkable collection of murals. He is admitted into the home of a 91-year old recluse, Chomo, and finally reaches the Palais Ideal, a Gaudiesque creation made by Ferdinand Cheval.
