Ambitious and goal-oriented Sofia Likhacheva is used to keeping everything under control. She works as a crime reporter and enjoys conducting her own investigations. Sonya's personal life is also going well. Her fiancé Nikolai is a major businessman, the owner of a construction company, and they are scheduled to get married very soon. But Nikolai suddenly calls off the wedding and announces that he has met the woman of his dreams. This chance meeting with nurse Victoria seems suspicious to Likhacheva, but the fiancé does not want to hear that the meeting was set up and that his new acquaintance is after his money. Then Sofia decides to find out more about her rival, and during the investigation she learns suspicious facts from Vika's past.
