"The Great Patriotic War" visited countries that fought for the future of Europe and the world in the 1940s. Several film crews worked in parallel on three continents. In addition to Russia, the project's authors travelled to Germany, France, Italy, Georgia, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada, and Argentina. During their trips, they managed to obtain a number of unique testimonies and documents.
